Brisbane Office Tower Enhances End-of-Trip Facilities with Eco-Friendly, Integrated Locking System
This Brisbane office tower, built in 2009, was renovated to modernize its end-of-trip facilities. The project aimed to replace battery-operated keypads with a sustainable, hardwired locking solution for 530 lockers across male, female, and public lounge amenities. The upgrade sought to integrate with base building access cards and offer future app compatibility, maintaining the building’s appeal for high-caliber corporate and government tenants.
The Metra DOT Net RFID on-door locking system allows users to access their assigned lockers using regular building access cards. External LED light indicators provide at-a-glance occupancy status of lockers. For added convenience, the MyMetraKey (MMK) mobile app, compatible with both Apple and Android devices, enables users to manage their lockers directly from their smartphones. The system’s planned integration with the building’s upcoming app promises to further streamline the user experience, offering greater efficiency and convenience for all occupants.
