Smart parcel lockers at Wake Forest University provide hygienic, touchless ways to drop-off and pick-up various items (parcels, books, IT equipment, etc.). The smart parcel lockers with Metra smart locking system is used by WFU students and faculty members.

Using their student/staff ID card or a digital ID credential, it became very easy for students and faculty staff to use the smart parcel lockers in a safe, hygienic and also fun way.  At the time the Wake Forest University parcel lockers were set up, the solution was meant  to enable an easier and a more hygienic exchange of books from University Library. Since then, the students and faculty members began to use the university parcel lockers for various other needs, as they see it offers easy, secure, safe, discreet and fun experience of the individual, one-on-one distribution.
